About The Gables of PEI

The Gables of PEI

To create a truly select way of life at The Gables of PEI, a number of elements came together. First — our location. Prince Edward Island is a summertime haven, attracting discerning visitors from around the world with our picturesque natural scenic beauty: our red dirt roads and cliffs, our patchwork of greens, our white sand beaches, and our photogenic fishing villages and lighthouses.

Prince Edward Island (or simply “The Island” to locals) is world renowned for our seafood — lobster, mussels, oysters, clams — caught fresh from the cool, clear waters of the Atlantic daily. Our seasonal produce, from strawberries to our world famous PEI potatoes, are staples on Island menus. We’re also home to The Culinary Institute of Canada where you can enroll in a selection of culinary boot camps, and whose influence can be found in restaurants across the province.

Year round, Prince Edward Island is alive with festivals, events, arts, and culture. Visit points of interest, the shops and galleries of PEI’s craftspeople, and artisans and artists along our Arts and Heritage Trail, see what’s onstage at The Confederation Centre of the Arts, discover the many cultures that come together to reflect the people create the of our Island during the DiverseCity Festival, experience art in public spaces during PEI’s annual Art in the Open or River Clyde Pageant, or take part in a Pow-Wow in Scotchfort, Panmure Island or Lennox Island.

For those seeking outdoor activities, PEI is home to The Confederation Trail, a network of walking, running and cycling paths that covers the entire Island from tip to tip. Deep sea fishing expeditions can be found at almost any PEI port, including here in Stanley Bridge, and in the wintertime, snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling keep us moving.

And then there’s golf. Prince Edward Island is known as a golfer’s paradise with more than 400 fairways at your command. At The Gables of PEI, you have close access to four championship courses, including the adjacent Andersons Creek Golf Club that is “designed by Graham Cooke and perfected by nature.” In short, if golf is your game, The Gables of PEI is your destination.

Nestled in the heart of Stanley Bridge, part of the only municipality in Canada with resort municipality status, The Gables of PEI is only 35 minutes from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island’s largest community, where you’ll find our primary airport and the amenities of our diminutive capital city, and it’s an even shorter distance from The Confederation Bridge, your gateway to the province if you’re arriving by road, and a photo op in its own right. If you’re arriving by ferry, we’re just over an hour away.

It’s by design that here at The Gables of PEI you always have the option of joining in with the other residents of The Gables community, or of retreating to the privacy and contentment found in your own space. Our accommodations are contemporary, comfortable, and luxurious, with villas and executive suites designed to satisfy any need, every taste. Enjoy our large heated saltwater pool, pickle ball, tennis and basketball courts, and fitness centre at the Pool House. The Upper Deck licensed lounge is onsite and is a premier spot for hosting BBQs and lobster boils, wedding receptions, family reunions, corporate retreats and other similar events; catering is available.
